SunJack’s newest light: All the colors of rainbow powered by the sun

The creators of the world’s most powerful portable solar charger, SunJack, just released the MultiColor CampLight™ – a daisy-chainable USB light bulb that can change colors with the touch of a button.   “We’re excited to bring the power of indoor lighting, outdoors. Now people can enjoy mood lighting and create ambiance in their tent just like they would in a high-end living room!”, says Harold Tan, CMO.   SunJack produces an array of portable solar charging products, including the famous SunJack 20 — a foldable 20 Watt solar panel with battery backup — which has been featured in Outside Magazine and the Survivalist. The unit’s efficient monocrystalline solar cells can simultaneously charge two Qualcomm Quickcharge battery packs, which fills in five hours and powers up to eight smartphones.     SunJack’s newest addition, the Color Camplight™ is the first of its kind for outdoor adventurers. A remote control allows users to switch between 16 colors and five settings (steady, flash, strobe, fade, smooth), while adjusting brightness levels.       The MultiColor CampLight™ also comes with the option to connect additional SunJack lights in a daisy chain, allowing outdoor enthusiasts the option for surround lighting or even a multicolored dance party in nature.   All of SunJack’s USB LED lights are shatter, shock and vibration resistant and shine at 340 lumens or the equivalent of of a 40W incandescent bulb. The lights can be powered by any  standard USB source, be it a wall plug, laptop or powerbank.   Pursuing its mission to provide renewable energy independence to people around the world, SunJack launched in 2014 after a successful Kickstarter campaign, and donates solar and lighting solutions to people in developing countries in addition to powering first-world luxuries. The MultiColor CampLight™ retails for $20 from SunJack.com, Amazon.com, and various retailers across the nation.   ABOUT SUNJACK GIGAWATT INC. DBA SUNJACK, develops solutions to help people stay powered. Since 2006, GigaWatt Inc has been distributing and installing solar for residential, commercial, and government customers. In 2014 SunJack was launched on Kickstarter to continue spreading the power of solar across the globe. first liquid cooled LED light bulb

The two major problems with LED lights are they are very directional light source and the LED chips can get hot when operating for a long time which can potentially shorten lifetime if the LED bulb is not cooled properly. Eternaleds introduced the first liquid cooled LED bulb called the HydraLux-4 which uses a fluid inside the LED bulb to not only cool the bulb but disperse the light 360 degrees around the bulb. The 4 watt bulb is equivalent 24 watt incandescent bulb and is offered in two colors, Warm White and Daylight White. By the end of this year the company is expected to release a 8 watt, 12 watt and 16 watt versions for people who want more light output. The HydraLux-4 only cosst $1.75 per year to operate and over the lifetime of the bulb can save up to $157 in electric and replacement costs compared to an incandescent. what do you think about the Eternaled...

prices for LED bulbs dropping like a rock

Your electric bills are raising on the other hand the prices of LED bulbs such as the EarthLED ZetaLux and EvoLux are falling. EarthLED has made bold price reductions to make LED light bulbs make more financial sense for you. The price of the ZetaLux has dropped down $10 dollars, now costs $39.99 and the EvoLux has dropped down $30 dollars to only $49.99 LED light bulbs have an extremely long lifetime, most will last over 10 years since they are solid state technology. A typical LED bulb would break even in two years when you factor in the incandescent bulb replacement cost and energy savings, if your cost for electricity is 10 cents per kWh (kilowatt-hour) I think EarthLED is making some game changing moves to accelerate the adoption of high efficiency light bulbs, this is great news for customers because now you will even break even faster as the price of LED bulbs continue to...

led grow lights in high demand

The people who use the most electricity are more likely to make investments in technology that reduces their consumption. Indoor growers all over the world are feeling the pinch of raising electric costs and are flocking for alternatives to lower their bills. Until recently, indoor growers had no options but to use inefficient and ancient lighting technology to grow their plants. Often not only would the cost of running the lights add up, but since these inefficient high pressure sodium lights create a lot of heat, many times the light itself has to be air cooled which adds to the electric costs of operating the lights. LED (light emitting diode) technology has recently dropped in price and advanced in terms of efficiency which has attracted many indoor growers to consider swapping out their old energy sucking gas based light bulbs for the next generation in lighting technology LEDs. The advantages of LED grow lights is not only that they cost only a couple dollars in electricity to run all year but they don’t emit much heat which allows the indoor grower to put the light source closer to the pant, increasing yields. LED Grow Lights deliver energy that plants need in the exact spectrums that are most effective to induce healthy and consistent plant growth. The GrowLED system allows you to target individual wavelengths (Blue, Red) or combine both to create the most effective growing environment for your plants, Some of the best responders to the light LED output include Tomatoes, Peppers, Basil, Lettuce, Violets, Orchids, and Roses. Food producing plants respond particularly well allowing you to have fresh produce in your house year round at a low cost. What do you think about LED lighting technology? Do you think its about time we replace incandescent and other forms of old inefficient lighting technology and convert to more efficient LED...

Sharp Solar Outdoor LED Lighting

Sharp has recently announced they will offer ten solar led outdoor lighting, a new product line which work by storing the solar power generated during the day into a battery which runs a high efficiency LED bulb when the sun goes down. These security lights by Sharp Solar, keeps needed outdoor lights off the grid which will result on tons of carbon emissions being consumed in the future if more people invest into solar LED lighting. The company claims the LED bulbs inside their product line has a 30% higher luminous efficiency and a special bulb design which spreads the light into a broader footprint. Sharp will offer the solar powered security lights in both top of pole mount and side of pole mounted solutions. I have noticed more products are coming out on the market that are pairing up LEDs with solar panels, the Sharp security lights are a great example of how using solar panels on a small scale can help save money and reduce carbon emissions consecutively. Commercial lighting , especially security lighting is often a large cost on an electric bill since most of them have inefficient old lighting technology. What do you think about outdoor lighting that combines solar panels with high efficiency lighting? Would you be interested in using solar panels to power your outdoor...
